What is Welcome Week?

Welcome to SOAS University of London, we are pleased you are joining us!

Welcome Week is designed to help you transition to studying at SOAS and to learn more about your department and the university.

The sections below will help you to get started with your journey. Welcome Week starts on Monday 27 September and we look forward to seeing you on Campus!

Enrolment

Enrolment finalises your registration onto your course for that year, you'll need to re-enrol at the start of each year of your course. You complete your Enrolment by confirming all your details online , paying fees or confirming your funding and uploading your passport and visa if needed.

Non-UK students will also be asked to present their ID and visa documents in person. If you need to come in person but haven't Booked your enrolment slot yet you can do so here. 

Once you have completed Enrolment, you'll be able to choose your modules for the year, have full access to your timetable, as well as your course materials, lectures and library services.

You need to have fully enrolled by the End of Welcome Week.

Welcome Week information

Now you have your login details, why not check out the Moodle page? It has all the information you need during welcome week and has links to all services across the university as well as a handy checklist. Welcome Week provides a range of events to help you prepare for the start of term and get settled in at SOAS.

Also, take time to read the Student Handbook, it gives you information about what to expect from your studies at SOAS.

SOAS Students' Union

The SU is a student-led charity. It is run by elected students supported by a team of SU staff to help you during your time studying at SOAS.

The Union is led by four full-time Co-Presidents and fifteen volunteer executive officers, who are elected by the student body to steer the direction of the SU, shaping and influencing their activities and campaigns as well as the services they provide for students.

The SU runs a huge range of services and events for students, for more information check out the SU website.
