Brunei Gallery

• Bicycle racks are available outside the Main Entrance on Thornhaugh Street (please note that folding bikes are not allowed inside the premises).
• The Gallery can't assume responsibility for damage or theft of bicycles left on-site.
• You may wish to use the Santander Cycle Hire scheme on your journey. If so, a docking station can be found on the corner of Great Russell Street and Montague Street, a 6-minute walk from the Main Entrance.

The following bus routes pass within walking distance of the gallery.

• Russell Square: 59, 68, 91, 168
• Tottenham Court Road (northbound) / Gower Street (southbound): 14, 24, 29, 73, 134, 390

SOAS is within the Congestion Charge Zone and the Ultra Low Emission Zone. 

London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) will involve a daily charge for vehicles wishing to enter the zone, which don’t meet strict emissions standards. SOAS buildings fall within the ULEZ and will benefit from improved air quality as a result of reduced exhaust NOx and PM emissions.

There is no general parking at the Russell Square campus but there are car parks at:

• Brunswick Square NCP, Marchmont Street WC1N 1AF
• The Royal National Hotel, 38-51 Bedford Way WC1H ODG
• Russell Court NCP, Woburn Place WC1H 0ND
• Judd Street NCP, Judd Street WC1H 9QR. 
• There are also pay and display bays on Russell Square and on other surrounding streets

Blue Badge parking

There are a number of Blue Badge parking bays near Russell Square. 

We also have two Blue Badge bays at the Russell Square Campus (entrance on Malet Street) which allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you are a Blue Badge holder you can also reserve one of two other bays from Senate House (please contact Campus Services - campusservices@soas.ac.uk). A minimum of 48 working hours is required for bookings, and you will need to provide your car's make, registration number and time of arrival.

Please note that bays will only be held for 30 minutes from the time requested by the user.

The four tube stations closest to the gallery are:

• Goodge Street: 9-minute walk
• Holborn: 12-minute walk
• Russell Square: 5-minute walk
• Tottenham Court Road: 12-minute walk
