Our specialist art short courses are open to all

In-person courses are strictly limited in capacity and places are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis

Please register for your place by completing the checkout process on the SOAS store (links on each course page). Payments by bank transfer can be arranged by email, but please note that store payments made prior to bank transfers being received will be prioritised

Your place will be confirmed on receipt of an automated email receipt from the SOAS store or by email following the receipt of a bank transfer

Cancellation by you

You have the right to cancel your registration for any reason (including if you change your mind) for a full refund within 14 days of the receipt of your payment, but no later than 14 days before the course begins.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing to AsianArt@soas.ac.uk during this time. We will endeavour to process valid refund requests as soon as possible, but your patience is appreciated in this situation.

Outside of this period, no fees cannot be refunded for any reason.

Cancellation by SOAS

We do endeavour to ensure that the course that you registered for is delivered as advertised. However, under certain circumstances we may have to cancel a course.

We will notify you about cancellations or postponements as soon as possible and 14 days before the course begins at the latest.

In these unlikely circumstances, you will have the option to either receive a full refund of your registration fee, or credit of the same amount towards a future course.

We endeavour to make publicly available the full schedule for each Specialist Art Short Course at least eight weeks before the start date – usually much earlier. If you are unsure if the course will be suitable for you, we recommend you wait until the full schedule is available before deciding whether to register.

We will make every effort to provide the course that you signed up for, but there may be situations in which it is desirable or necessary for SOAS to make changes in course provision. Minor changes will be reflected in the schedules posted on the SOAS website and sent to registrants prior to the course beginning. For significant changes to the schedule, course convenor, contributors or activities, we will inform registrants as soon as possible.

Modifications to courses are not grounds for a refund. However, if SOAS considers that you may be significantly and adversely affected by any changes, you will be given the option to cancel your place for a full refund.

Registration Fees

Unless indicated in the course schedule, do not include any other services, including but not limited to, subsistence during course days, travel or accommodation costs or subsistence, insurance including health insurance or services or other costs that might arise prior to or during the course.

The exception being that visits during the course will be either free of charge or paid for by the organiser as part of your fee unless otherwise stated.

Your responsibilities:

• You are responsible for providing truthful information as part of your registration
• You are responsible for arranging appropriate or required insurance in respect of travel, personal property, vehicle and accommodation costs involved in you attending the course
• You will be solely responsible for determining whether the course is sufficient and suitable for your needs
• You are responsible for obtaining the required visa that enables your participation in the course and the rejection of a visa application by the British authorities does not affect the application of these terms and conditions
• It is a condition of your registration with us that you agree to comply with our applicable rules, policies and regulations
